Vocabulary Crosswords
|
|
Expand your vocabulary by solving one of these puzzles every day. There are no cryptic clues
here, and no special knowledge should be needed...just a good understanding of the English
language, and possibly a good dictionary. A word of warning though...the dictionary used to
build these puzzles follows British spelling conventions, so American solvers may take
issue with some of the words. Have fun!

General Knowledge Crosswords
|
Add to your fund of General Knowledge by solving some of these puzzles. All of the clues are typical
quiz questions. You will know the answers to many of them, but for those you don't, you couldn't
do better than refer to Wikipedia. These
puzzles have the interesting feature that some of the answers are longer than the maximum
dimension of the puzzle grid. This is achieved by means of 'tunnels' which can change the
direction of a word. You may not have seen these before, but in no time at all, they will become
quite familiar to you. Happy solving!

Sudoku Puzzles
|
|
Regardless of your level of expertise at solving SUDOKU puzzles, there is something here for
you. Each of the following sets contains 11 puzzles with difficulty gradually increasing from
Trivial to Impossible? Well not exactly impossible, but unless you are an expert you will
probably have some trouble with these. Start with the simple ones first, and move up
the scale until you find the level which matches your skill. Good Luck!

Kakuro Puzzles
|
|
For people who haven't encountered Kakuro puzzles, it should be pointed out that they are nothing more than
crossword puzzles which use numbers instead of letters. The clue for each 'word' is the sum of
the digits which make up that word. Before attempting to solve your first puzzle, please click
the Help button on the puzzle for further instructions. There are 150 puzzles here, and they are
arranged in approximately the order of difficulty. If beginners start from puzzle number 1, they
will find their skill increasing as they progress through the puzzles.
